About a year ago (April 3, 2014) I wrote a blog post on Praying in Color for my grandchildren.  The post received quite a bit of interest through comments and questions from readers and led to the opportunity for me to share the process with friends and acquaintances who live in my local area.  (If you missed the original article, it can be found in the Archives.)

How exciting now to be given two new opportunities to share this engaging way to pray intentionally and specifically for those we love with people beyond my local reach.

The first opportunity comes through the National Association of Christian Journal Writers (NACJW).  Next week the NACJW will be presenting a three day virtual conference. Journaling:  Your Path to a Stronger Spiritual, Personal and Business Life will provide participants with an opportunity to discover how journal writing can help them grow spiritually, personally and even in their business life.  As part of this conference, I have been invited to present a session on Praying in Color for Your Grandchildren and Children.  The virtual conference will take place March 18 – March 20, 2015 and can be accessed at http://www.nacjw.com/.

The second opportunity for sharing comes through a four week online group being offered on Monday evenings this spring.  Praying in COLOR for Your Grandchildren and Children is an interactive virtual group where participants can learn about the process of Praying in Color while trying their hand at it in an atmosphere of encouragement and support.  The group involves four weekly sessions of approximately forty-five minutes each.  The upcoming group will meet on April 13, April 20, April 27, and May 4 at 7:00 PM Eastern Time each week.  The cost for all four sessions is $20.00.

I am so thrilled to be on this journey and to be able to share this process (based on Praying in Color: Drawing a New Path to God by Sybil MacBeth, 2013) with an extended audience.  Personally, I find the process to be one way to get past some of the prayer roadblocks I face and it’s just plain fun.   If there are special children in your life, I hope you will consider joining us as we learn one way to breathe some new life into our prayers.
