Whether you are buying for a seasoned journaler or someone just starting out, here are some of my favorite gift ideas for the journaler in your life:
A lovely journal. There is nothing wrong with an inexpensive journal. I use them all the time. However, for gift giving consider investing in a journal of higher quality. Try a colorful Poppin journal, a gorgeous leather Sheic journal, or find one through a google search.
Fun pens. Do you have a favorite pen or two? One that just seems to flow effortlessly or one that is simply FUN to write with? Pens can make all the difference. If your journaler doesn’t already have a favorite pen, help her find one. Maybe your favorite will become her favorite. Or ask for recommendations.
Highlighters. Look for a pack that is Bible-safe or non-bleed. These can be found on Amazon, Christianbook.com, or at most office supply stores.
A journaling Bible. This is a wonderful gift for any Scripture journaler. Journaling Bibles are available in most Bible translations, and there are many, many inexpensive options (especially during Cyber week). Take a look at the wide-range of options at Christianbooks.com or Amazon. Many Christian book stores also run sales on journaling Bibles if you have the time to check them out.
An English dictionary and/or thesaurus. These are excellent tools for Scripture journaling and verse mapping. I can’t imagine journaling without either one!
A little Fun and Bling. Add some pizzazz to your journaling gift by including any of the following: alphabet stickers, washi tape, colored pencils, markers, Crayola Twistables, watercolors, stamps and stamp pads, or any other art or office supply that sounds fun!
Basket. How about a journaling basket? If you are purchasing more than one of these items as a gift for the same person, why not pick up a cute container to hold it all – on gifting day and beyond? Pick up an appropriate sized crate or tote and arrange the journaling items inside. Then toss in some favorite coffee pods, tea bags, or an uplifting instrumental CD.
**I am not affiliated with any of the products listed above. All listed products are being shared because either I have personally used them and LOVE them or I’m simply trying to do some of the legwork to make things a little easier for you. No compensation is being received from any of the associated companies.**
One more gift idea for the journaler(s) in your life is the recently released Journaling for the Soul: A Handbook of Journaling Methods. This easy-to-navigate handbook contains a wide variety of both traditional and nontraditional journaling methods for use with many of the major spiritual disciplines. It’s a valuable tool for the seasoned pro as well as the journaling beginner. Tuck on in a journaling basket or gift it independently.

These look amazing!! I think I need more of a wheelbarrow for all my journalling / studying items now, though! Blessings!

Ha-ha, Liz! I never thought about a wheelbarrow!! I do know a few people that keep their journaling supplies in those 3-tier rolling carts you can find at IKEA and Michaels!
